Baked ziti with golden mozzarella in a white casserole dish

Easy Dump and Bake Ziti (No Boil)

Ingredients

  • 1 (16 oz) box ziti or penne
  • 1 jar (24 oz) spaghetti sauce
  • 1 jar water (use empty sauce jar to measure)
  • 1 can (14.5 oz) petite diced tomatoes
  • 1 teaspoon Italian dressing
  • 2 teaspoons granulated garlic, divided
  • 1 lb browned ground meat or meatballs (optional)
  • 6 oz Parmesan cheese
  • 8 oz mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Add uncooked pasta to a 9×13 dish.
  2. Pour in sauce, then fill jar with water and pour over. Do not stir.
  3. Add diced tomatoes, Italian dressing, and 1 tsp garlic.
  4. Layer browned meat or meatballs on top if using. Cover tightly with foil.
  5. Bake 35 minutes, or until pasta is tender (add time for frozen meatballs).
  6. Uncover and stir. Top with Parmesan and mozzarella. Sprinkle remaining garlic and Italian seasoning.
  7. Bake uncovered 10 minutes, until cheese is melted and golden.
