Classic No Bake Cookies
A Midwest potluck classic: chewy, chocolatey and full of peanut butter goodness. They come together in minutes.
How to make it
- In a saucepan, combine the sugar, milk, margarine and cocoa.
- Bring to a boil and cook for exactly 1 minute. Remove from the heat.
- Stir in the oats, peanut butter and vanilla until completely combined.
- Immediately drop spoonfuls onto wax paper and let cool completely.
Holly’s note: Quick oats make softer cookies; old-fashioned oats make them chewier.
