Grandma’s Peanut Butter Fudge
Passed down for generations, this is the creamy, rich peanut butter fudge that always disappears first from the Christmas tin.
How to make it
- Melt the butter in a saucepan over low heat. Do not let it brown.
- Add the evaporated milk and sugar. Bring to a boil and cook for 6–7 minutes, stirring constantly.
- Remove from the heat. Stir in the vanilla and peanut butter until smooth and creamy.
- Pour into a buttered flat pan. Refrigerate until set, then cut into squares.
Holly’s note: For firmer fudge, stay closer to 7 tablespoons of peanut butter. For a creamier texture, use 8.
